Un article qui s’accompagne d’une lecture du livre <i>La démocratie du quotidien : Raconter les Territoires</i> de Cédric Szabo, directeur de l’Association des maires ruraux de France qui appelle un engagement plus fort dans nos communes. On vous emmène ensuite à Borderline Fabrika, un tiers-lieu situé entre la France et l’Espagne pour comprendre ce que signifie d’être un lieu transfrontalier. Pour continuer ce voyage, Baptiste Thomasset élabore une cartographie des financements européens pour les tiers-lieux dont la lecture peut être nourrie par l’ouvrage <i>Tiers-lieux en Europe et puissance(s) publique(s) </i>de l’ANCT. Après les financements, Arnaud Idelon s’intéresse aux modèles économiques des tiers-lieux et à leurs différentes utilisations du « prix libre ». Des articles à lire à l’aune de la fiche de lecture de l’ouvrage <i>Rethinking Third Places</i>, un recueil d'articles scientifiques proposée par les chercheuses Joanne Dolley et Caryl Bosman qui apporte un éclairage international sur comment les tiers-lieux peuvent être intégrés aujourd’hui dans l’aménagement urbain. Elle met en lumière une réalité émergente : les tiers-lieux, qui trouvent leurs racines dans un concept récent d’un sociologue américain, Oldenburg, en 1989, constituent une réalité territoriale européenne depuis les années 2000 et exponentielle dans l’Europe post-crise sanitaire.
